JD (2)

1st: Lerego’s Teckelgarth Musket*. RCC. A typical loose, striding movement from this youngster. Well conditioned, with correct coat with a slight oily texture, dense and harsh. Real masculine head with a good broad nose with dark pigmentation. Clean, with a nicely doomed head, a defined stop with that typical melting expression of an Otterhound. Kind and intelligent eye with pigment matching the coat colour. Pendulous ears, set correctly and with a good length. Good length of neck into a well laid shoulder. Straight forearm with good bone and round, well knuckled and large feet. Good depth of brisket and spring of rib. Well let down hock and muscled. Really strode out well with a good long open gait.

2nd: Clark & Ashworth & Atter’s Skarabrae & Avitar’s A Rhapsody In Blue Via Kingst. Not quite the rear construction of first like a little more drive. A good depth of brisket and oval rib, well back. Strong short loin and correct level topline. However just fell away at the croup. Straight front well boned. Not quite the expression of 1st, good long pendulous ear, with correct fold.

PGD (1)

1st: Lewis’ Olphae Governor (jw). Lovely tempered boy so happy on the move with that typical gait. A masculine head and expression, broad black nose, with an intelligent expression. Correct set ear with a good length and correct fold. Straight forearm with strong bone and a little give in the pastern. Did tend to toe in a little coming towards you. A good depth of brisket and well sprung oval rib, well back, short strong loin and correct level topline, with tailset and carriage correct on the move. I would ideally have liked a little more rear angulation. Well muscled and drove off well from behind.

OD (2)

1st: Lewis’ Ch Olphae Charman (vw)**. For me a more typical Otterhound. Moved well with that typical gait. Maybe like a little more rear angulation when free stood. A well made forehand with clean neck and shoulder, well laid, good depth of brisket and oval rib, and well back with strong loin. Straight well bone forearm with nice round well knuckled feet. Super body and condition. Good masculine head, well balanced from nose to back of the skull. Intelligent eye and expression, with correct set pendulous ear and fold. Veteran Group 2.

2nd: Lerego & Salt & Stringer’s Ch Teckelgarth Ingot. A boy of substance and size. A very good head and intelligent expression, correctly set pendulous ear and fold. A straight forearm well boned and good round, well knuckled feet. Like a better return of upper arm. Good oval rib and well back, strong loin and a well made rear. Wasn’t really enjoying himself on the move and thus not the drive I would have liked today.

SBB (1)

1st: Pickering & Lee’s Ottaryx Apple *. A very Typey, pretty bitch, however I would like some more substance all through. Head was balanced but just lacking some width all through. Kind, intelligent eye and correct set pendulous ear and good fold. Good depth of brisket and straight forearm, well strung oval rib and well back with a strong loin. Slight rise over the loin on the move.

PB (1)

1st: Lerego’s Teckelgarth Nesta (ai) NAF. A pretty puppy with the kindest of expressions with an intelligent eye, correctly set pendulous ear. Well balanced head from the broad black nose to the back of skull. Clean forehand, with straight forearm and strong bone, nice round feet. A good brisket and well ribbed back with a strong loin into a well made rear with enough bend of stifle. Everything just needs to firm up on the move as little lose behind. Good correctly textured coat and condition.

JB (2)

1st: Lerego’s Teckelgarth Manon*. A well balanced make and shape and very honest bitch. Like her head with all the qualities you want in an a Otterhound. Broad black nose, intelligent eye and correctly set pendulous ear of good length and fold. Good forehand with well laid shoulder and straight forearm and well boned. Good big round feet. Well ribbed back with good depth of brisket and strong loin, into a well made rear end well muscled. Kept her topline on the move with correct tail set and carriage. Correct dense, harsh coat and oily texture.

2nd: Lerego & Oakley & Rauter’s Teckelgarth Muse*. Another well made bitch full of qualities too like. Another typical head and expression with correct ear set and length of ear. Good bone and big round feet. Moved well however just a little close behind,, strong level topline and plenty of substance. Just lost out on her head compared to first, not quite the quality.

PGB (4,1)

1st: Porter & Porter’s Ottaryx Cobweb (ai). Won this class on movement. A lovely feminine head and expression intelligent eye and pendulous ear set level. Good length and fold. Maybe a little upright in shoulder. Level topline supported by a good depth of brisket and correct oval rib well back. Strong loin into a well made rear end, well muscled and this showed on the out movement.

2nd: Bell & Jennings’ Olphae Gladys For Dorinor. Straight forearm and well boned with good well knuckled big round feet. Plenty of body with good depth of brisket. Like a slightly kinder eye and expression. Correct ear set and good length. In good coat with correct texture.

3rd: Pickering & Lee’s Ottaryx Apple *

LB (4,1)

1st: Porter & Porter’s Ottaryx Chaos (ai) JW. For me a far more typical Otterhound, more balanced and steadier on the move. A little more moderate all through. Nice feminine head and expression. With a good broad black nose, lovely eye and ear set level with eye. Pendulous and good length with correct fold. Straight forearm and little give in the pastern. Good well knuckled big round feet. Well boned. Good depth of brisket and strong loin. Level topline and correct tail set. Well made rear, with well let down hock. Moved away with some drive and typical gait. Correct dense, harsh coat well muscled.

2nd: Lerego & Cook & Naish’s Teckelgarth Little Limpet (ai). A well made bitch, however I would like a little more length of leg a bit out of proportion. Good straight forearm well boned and give in the pastern. Good depth of brisket and well ribbed back, strong loin moving into a well made rear construction, plenty of width and well muscled and drove off well with some drive.

3rd: Harris & Harris’ Olphae Dawn *

OB (2)

1st: Lerego’s Teckelgarth Kalliope. A well balanced and sized bitch. Good make and shape. Good depth of brisket with a lay of shoulder and strong neck. Oval rib and well back, strong loin. Straight forearm well. One’d with give in the pastern. Big round well padded feet. Well let down behind and muscled. In full coat with correct texture. Moved well both ways keeping her topline and correct tail set and carriage, Feminine head and expression, good eye and broad balcony nose, ears set Level with the eye. Good length and pendulous with correct fold.

2nd: Lerego & Single-Bloom’s Teckelgarth Le Lakme (ai). Not quite the rear end of 1st and little close behind on the out movement. Well made front with clean neck and shoulders. Straight forearm with give in the pastern, well boned, big round feet. Well muscled and condition. Correct coat texture and length.

VB (1)

1st: Porter & Porter’s Ottaryx Quinevere VW. A pleasing head and expression, good broad black nose with an intelligent eye. Ears correctly set and of good length and fold. Straight forearm with give in the pastern. Well laid shoulder with good depth of brisket and well ribbed back. Strong loin into a a correctly well made rear, and well let down. Good coat and conditioned, good muscle tone and this could be seen on the move, keeping a balanced profile, correct tail set and carriage.
