Championship Show Results and Critiques
Firstly thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge and putting on a fabulous show, I judged the open show at this venue in 2008 in the snow!!
Heartfelt thanks to the exhibitors for entrusting me with a record entry in recent times of 34 glorious hounds. Quality has improved and all were presented in good clean coat. Thank you for making it a truly memorable judging appointment and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
Veteran Dog or Bitch What a super class to start the day, I think it would be better to have separate dog and bitch veteran classes.
1. Olphae Clayton, I see he is the litter brother to the DCC winner and was surprised he doesn’t carry a title. He has a very typical head, with a long ear with fold. Long powerful neck leading into a good shoulder, strong bone, and webbed feet. Well sprung Deep chest and strong moderately angled rear. He really came in to his own on the move, with a long striding sound trot, close up in the challenge. Best veteran in Show.
